OK… So this is the first in the Blogisodes series… Don’t take it too seriously as It’s only a bit of creative writing… I don’t expect this to garner many likes… But if you do like a bit of fiction now and again… ENJOY!
It was five in the morning, the Sun was still rising, there was a small sprinkle of rain and the birds were starting to wake. The traffic of London was returning to its usual hectic self and it seemed to be a normal Spring morning.
Although it seemed that the majority of locals were asleep, there was one street, not too far away from the city centre that was more alive than usual. The side street was filled with sirens of police cars and ambulances alike. Every member of the neighbourhood was out on their doorsteps looking on at the tragedy that had just transpired.
What you’ll read below was written out of boredom and has been sitting in my drafts for a very long time.
Usually, If a post goes into my drafts folder, it doesn’t end up getting published…Ever. What goes in, doesn’t necessarily come back out. (Cue evil laughter)
I’ve published it because it had the highest votes in the poll, within this article. However, I don’t expect it to gather many views or likes as it was written very quickly. (Wait, have I just put you off reading the rest of this article?)
But anyway, Get your tissues ready, because you are about to enter the emotional roller-coaster! (Height restrictions apply)
Have you ever…
Unlike usual, The EssWhyDee Blog has had a bit of traffic from web searches the last few days…
People have genuinely searched for the correct uses of “There”, “Their” and “They’re” and ended up on my blog reading my previous Why Bother? article, I feel quite sorry for them actually…
All they got was a sarcastic rant which would’ve just confused them more than before reading it. Unfortunately, I failed to realise that there are many different kinds of people in this world, some that may still be of young age and learning…and others who are just plain thick…
There, their and they’re
Do I actually have to cover this topic?
It’s basic human knowledge. Some would even call it common sense.
I mean. Come on. How hard can it be?
There = A person’s possession
Their = They are
They’re = Opposite of ‘here’
So I’ve Just got back from holiday and I’ve been thinking…
Enough is enough.
It has been just under 4 months of writing on The EssWhyDee Blog and now I feel that it is time…
Time to hang up my boots.
After countless sleepless nights, tens of hours spent thinking about things to write, laughing at my own jokes and checking every single minute for new views…It has certainly been a roller-coaster ride for me, to say the least. Continue reading
I’ve noticed people using slang excessively on the Internet recently…
Don’t get me wrong, I like slang.
Slang is convenient.
It is totally acceptable on the Internet as well as in a normal conversation nowadays…But something about it has been bothering me…
Yes, that’s right. Surprise, surprise.
“A mini rant with a sprinkle of what the actual fuck” is the forecast for the next 30 seconds.
Yes, I made this meme. I had that much time on my hands – Syd
- I have decided to start a new series of blog posts (along with everything else) that basically consists of things that bother me, in a fun, bite-size format that you can spend a minute or two reading and hopefully have a little chuckle at…The series will be called “Why Bother?”
- Creative writing has always been something I have been generally interested in. Therefore I will be releasing two-part mini stories every so often, trying to perfect the art of creating effective cliffhangers, as a creative exercise. Hope you guys enjoy it…This series will be called “Blogisode“
- I also have one or two other things currently up my sleeve (no, not tissues or anything like that) for this blog, so do hit that follow button if you want to read some creative mini-stories and some little ranty posts you can read at breakfast.
Oh, and since I’m on the laptop, I’ll start things off by giving you a Why Bother? Blog as soon as I write it up!
This article has been chosen by readers (via the poll in this blog http://wp.me/p3jOHU-eU) to be written next. Well, sort of anyway 😉
We live in a world where people poke one another, write on each other’s walls, like every single thing they do, follow one another, repeat(retweet) what people say and even add them to circles. All virtually of course…otherwise that’d be a bit…weird, to say the least.
Note: Please vote in the Poll at the end of this post. YOU get to decide what I should write next! I also have a new “project” coming out on my blog very soon, which will be more creative writing but a tad different to The Kidnapping. Watch this space. Here is the long-awaited Chapter 4 of my suspense/thriller eBook; The Kidnapping. Enjoy!
Don’t play games, kid. It won’t work with us
A few hours had passed since Piedro had left…The sun had risen and the heat was increasing rapidly. Jason was still hunched up, sitting against the very same wall that Piedro had slammed him against. His eyes were swollen with the lack of sleep and anxiety, yet he forced himself to be awake, almost to slow down the time. By this time, Drew and Arthur were taking it in turns to sleep on the bunks, and it was Arthur’s turn to sleep and Drew’s turn to keep guard of the hostage.
Quick Post. Thank all of you.
While others celebrate being Freshly Pressed, I’m celebrating the fact that The EssWhyDee Blog has hit over 2,000 views in 2 and a half months, with exactly 20 blog posts.
This is what we work for!
So thanks to everyone that reads my blogs, and a bigger thanks to those who share it!!!

So this week, Technology nerds must have exploded in more ways than one, what with E3 and WWDC and the introduction of next-gen gaming/smartphone technology.
So initially, I was going to do an Xbox One Vs Ps4 article. But I didn’t really think that it would be ideal for me to write because;
Lately, I have had a major sense of discomfort when it comes to celebrities…Notably one in particular(but I’ll get to that in just a second, even though you’ve probably already guessed by the picture).
When I say ‘Celebrities’, I mean Singers/Rappers mainly.
Before I get into this, I don’t endorse criminal activity of any sort but nor am I targeting a specific use of drug as ‘bad’ or a specific person as being ‘bad’. It’s just a pessimistic view on things, like a lot of other things I write.
First of all, I know I’ve not blogged for a week or so. This is because I have been too busy. Expect lots of posts on The EssWhyDee Blog after my last exam(which is the 10th of this month).
Some show it publicly, others don’t.
I may not always show it but I give out a lot of respect to people around me, you don’t have to do much to gain it, I’ll appreciate little things and…BAM! Brownie points for you!
But hang on a sec, should we be dishing out respect to everyone around us?
A major cause of conflict in this world is down to many factors but the one I’m going to give my thoughts on in this article is; The issue of people’s egos.
It’s not anything new and indeed it may sound cliche…but it’s something we can’t physically visualize and so is often overlooked…
“This is rubbish!” – “But I don’t think so”
Opinions are formed around us on a constant basis. Everyone has them. Some of them are stupid and uneducated whilst others are valid and helpful.
It is a key part of life…we form opinions in our minds to decide on what we believe, whether we vocalise them or not.
You can have opinions on people, certain issues such as current events or even on a product and whether you like it or not. It creates love, hate, peace, war, conflict etc
But there is something about your POV that differs from anything else.
It’s YOURS…Therefore, it matters. Regardless of facts/figures or the what anybody else thinks, you will still hold a connection with your opinion because it defines your character.
Just another quick rant guys…
Yes, you guessed it, This one is about Facebook! *Cheers all round*
To those people who like their own status/photos;
Why would you do it?
Why? Why? WHY?!
Google Glass (Photo credit: Stuck in Customs)
So….”The Next Big Thing” is Google Glass eh?
This is great news for Tech nerds like myself, it’s almost as if we are finally living in the ‘future’ that we dreamed about as kids…This is a product that differs from anything else currently on the market so props to Google for being innovative.
I like the concept of this, it brings about a major change in the way we live our lives, some may even consider it revolutionary. Indeed it is.
It may have very cool features, all fancy tech built in and so forth, but is it really something that was needed?
If the internet stopped working…What would you do?
Here’s a list of things you can do if the above happens, in no particular order:
There are many different forms of media around us…chances are, you have probably clicked this article through a form of social media too.
However, what I shall focus on in this article is the issue of media itself and it’s impact on the general public. It’s not the positives and negatives, just my insight…
I’m presuming that The EssWhyDee Blog has an older demographic – If you are under the age of 20, please navigate away from this page now. Oh shit. That doesn’t include myself by the way. Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to write the rest of this blog post and whatnot.
Only kidding, you’re all welcome to read it.
“Piedro, glad you could join us” said Drew confidently. The falsely tanned Mexican man tilted his head to one side, pulling out his very own hand pistol while stroking it sensually. It was almost as if he loved it more than anything else in the world, like he had known it all his life. The pistol had etchings on the side, which read “Kindness”. He brushed passed both men without a word spoken walking with authority as if he owned the two of them, advancing towards the bunk where he knelt down making a half-smile. “Got him. We finally got him.” chuckled Piedro, wiping away the excess perspiration around his thin mustache, breathing heavily in anger.
Here’s a very short post for you guys as to why I have stopped watching Smackdown.
Note: I actually was a huge fan of the Smackdown brand as opposed to the Raw brand for some reason, but here’s why it all changed.
Drew swung the blunt end of his firearm at Jason’s already-bruised skull. The sheer impact of the hit, knocked Jason unconscious instantaneously as his barely breathing corpse flopped to the ground. “The Fuck, man?! He wanted him alive. You’re a dead man, Drew!” panicked Arthur, walking over to the half dead body with his hands on his rapidly reddening, usually pale face. Without a word spoken, and no change in expression, Drew picked up the body gently and flung it over his left shoulder effortlessly, almost as if it was a sack of potatoes. He quietly walked over towards the property, with Jason hunched over him, and flicked what was left of the cigar onto the firm, dry, yellowing grass, without acknowledging anything Arthur had just said to him.
Right, for all those that clicked this Blog, thinking that it was about Pokemon, look away now. It’s anything but. It’s actually the most casual blog post you’ll ever see from myself. One about procrastination…
I had planned on doing many things this week, some of them being to:-
- Clean my room
- Read up on numerous topics for revision(Government and Politics)
- Fit in my social life at the same time (which by the way, has deteriorated dramatically this year)
I don’t mind revising, but my opinion on Politics has totally changed in the 2 years that I’ve studied it. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t regret it at the time. In fact, for an entire academic year I ACTUALLY ENJOYED IT. Wow. I was motivated, I got superb grades and all was well. until the 2nd year came around and it knocked me down, I got back up and it knocked me down, knocked me down.
Yes, that was a song reference, Keri Hilson anyone?
The battered and bruised, gun-metal, Chevrolet Malibu came to a sudden halt. It was half past 2 in the morning and the only sound present was the hoarse grunting of the half-working engine, which seemed to be one of a different car. It pulled up just outside the only house in the area, which was a derelict valley, full of tall trees, that seemed to have been neglected for decades on end. The property was so poorly maintained that it was literally a wooden frame, with a set of metal bunks, and a couple o’ mattresses leaning against the wall in the only room. That was it, that was the ‘house’. In the middle of nowhere.
The Human Brain
As confusing as the heading is, i’m sure you’ve gathered by now, that my blog is starting to form a structure. Naturally, i’m trying to post as frequently as possible, blogging my thoughts on topics, blogging my past experiences, general rants, And i’m even releasing an ebook this Friday, as a creative exercise for myself, all alongside fitting in my day to day busy lifestyle…(not)
Now, this structure I mentioned, comes in the form of my new categories.. These are helping me arrange my blog posts into different sections. But a particular category I have thoroughly enjoyed writing in so far, is the ‘My Thoughts on Certain Topics’ category(which you can access from the left hand side of my website, under the Calendar).
So… Here are my thoughts, on ‘My Thoughts’…….
Lets get right to this, I am going to run you guys through each of the matches VERY briefly to let you know what i thought of “The Granddaddy of them all”.
The more serious topic of euthanasia eh?…where do we start….
It’s a touchy topic, but here’s my two pence(or Cents)
Note: i’m trying my best NOT to make this into an essay style article
- Euthanasia, also called “mercy killing” is the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease or an irreversible coma.
Should individuals have the final say WHEN they die, If they are in extreme cases of suffering? In some countries, it’s actually legal…it’s fair to say that indeed it does ‘put them out of their misery’, because by living longer, they’re only going to be suffering more….
But since humans have free will and all, surely an individual is the best judge of his/her actions and is only justifiable to none other, than themselves. This is an act of putting one in control and giving them the final say. it’s a matter of choice. Their life, Their choice.

If there’s one thing in this world that annoys the hell outta me, its hash tagging on Facebook. (#, not the drug)
Firstly it’s perfectly understandable if one would hash tag anywhere other than Twitter, because lets face it, other websites do have the capabilities to link posts based on hashtags… as far as i know, Facebook does not have this capability at the moment, so why do it???
will it make you look cool? are you trying to ‘fit in’? Or do you not understand the mere concept of hash tagging? Continue reading
(Representation of the Road)
Note: This is a true story
With her eyes fixated on the floor, it gave me a sense of curiosity… From where i was at the time, it looked like a white piece of paper…and from that moment on, MY eyes were fixated on the item.
As she walked passed the “item”, she looked back to where she had been staring all this time, and had a look of discomfort on her face, the type you REALLY DON’T want to see. it was a mix between anxiety and shock…either that, or she had let out a massive fart. She just stopped whatever she was doing and reluctantly walked on…We passed each other but there was a sense of worry present…
As I walked up to the item on the floor, I realised it was a £5 note. But it was folded in origami fashion into a flat shape of some sort…very distinctive and unique, sort of like a paper boat you would make in primary school, but pointed at the bottom. So naturally i walked past it without a second thought.
But then it occurred to me, somebody else would take it anyway, so I might aswell put it in charity…
I immediately stopped, turned around to pick it up and…- HANG ON ONE COTTON PICKING MOMENT…….IT WASN’T THERE!…..What the hell?! WAS I HALLUCINATING?! There was no wind at all, No-one to pick it up, not a soul in sigh…..- WAIT. WHAT? Continue reading
OK, so before i get into any humour, controversy or anything else, let me share my experience with you.. its not a story which will frighten you, but its worth a read as it is 100% accurate and true.
It all happened about 3 years ago on the way back home from college… it was a very mild autumn/winter day and it was not very bright outside, for some reason or another, i had finished a little late from college and was taking my usual route home, which by the way had very little people actually walking that way on a daily basis(Now what i mean is, not little people as in midgets, but more of a numerical analogy. glad that’s cleared up). that particular day, there were even less people walking down that main road maybe 1 or 2 on each side, though i cant remember exactly, i know it was really really peaceful, quiet but also quite eerie. so i put my headphones in like normal and set off on my journey. Continue reading
